Guidance matters!
Coaching Support is a tool designed to enhance and streamline the supervision of interns, lateral entrants, and students during their internships, educational programs, or work-based learning trajectories.
Due to workload and other responsibilities, supervision by field mentors or workplace coaches often ends up being reactive—putting out fires. However, it’s essential to have a clear view of what the intern, student, or lateral entrant needs in order to tailor your guidance accordingly. That’s exactly why Coaching Support was developed.
Coaching Support continuously measures motivation and engagement, allowing for proactive intervention. If necessary, mentors or coaches are notified and prompted to take action. This way, you can keep track of each participant’s development without needing intensive personal supervision—and step in when and where it truly matters.
Within the tool, you link an intern, lateral entrant, or student to their mentor. Periodically, both parties receive the same topic-related questions—for example, about how the collaboration is going. They answer these questions separately and quickly using a rating scale or star system. Optionally, they can send a message to the coach or a trusted contact.
The software then analyzes the responses. If needed, advice or further questions follow. Because participants and mentors do not see each other's answers, the responses reflect true personal perception—reducing socially desirable answers. Any problems in the collaboration can be identified early on, which improves mutual communication.
How Do We Support Your School?
Coaching Support gathers factual data
The departure of a lateral entrant or student has not only personal but also financial consequences. Recruiting and training a new colleague or learner takes time and money. For interns and students, dropping out often leads to study delays, which results in lower efficiency, higher costs, and a reduced graduation rate.
If things aren’t going well in the collaboration or program, a quick and informed decision is needed. Coaching Support provides the data required to make such well-founded decisions.
Monitoring Job Satisfaction
Throughout an internship, program, or work-based learning track, it's vital to monitor the well-being and job satisfaction of interns, students, and lateral entrants. This can be done as frequently and thoroughly as your organization requires. Coaching Support offers far more than just periodic evaluation meetings. By linking a coach to the intern, student, or lateral entrant and their supervisor, you increase engagement—and stay ahead of potential issues through proactive monitoring.
Aligned with the ‘From School to Sustainable Work’ Act and VET Dropout Prevention
Coaching Support fits seamlessly with the objectives of the Act "From School to Sustainable Work," which aims to guide young people, MBO graduates and vulnerable groups in the labor market - such as lateral entrants and students - toward long-term and meaningful employment. An important spearhead within this law is improving guidance during internships, apprenticeships and training programs, and preventing premature exit.
Coaching Support contributes directly by continuously tracking motivation, collaboration, and well-being. Early signs of demotivation, overload, or poor cooperation are detected automatically. This allows for timely interventions and customized support, increasing the likelihood of successful completion and sustainable employment. The tool also provides accurate, real-time data for mentors, coaches, and HR to make informed decisions about adjusting or continuing a learning trajectory.
In addition, Coaching Support plays a key role in tackling early school leaving (ESL). Students or participants at higher risk of dropping out benefit from continuous monitoring that allows schools and organizations to intervene before it's too late. This strengthens personal development, prevents delays, and improves educational efficiency and success.
